Wallify — Wallpaper App
Effective date: 28-07-2026 | Last updated: 28-07-2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wallify ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. Wallify is developed by [Your Company / Developer Name] ("Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using Wallify, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Wallify does not require registration, sign-up, or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials.
1.2 Information Stored Locally On Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device using Android's DataStore, and this data is never transmitted to our servers:
- Favorite wallpaper IDs
- Theme preference (light/dark)
- Language preference
- Recent search history
- Onboarding and permission status
- Ad frequency counters (used only to limit how often ads are shown)
This data stays on your device and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the App.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you use Wallify, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our third-party service providers (see Section 3), including:
- Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID)
- Device type, operating system version, and language settings
- App usage data (e.g., screens viewed, ad interactions)
- General location derived from IP address (country/region level only)
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
1.4 Permissions Used By the App
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| Internet / Network State | To load wallpapers and ads from the internet. |
| Storage / Media Images | To save downloaded wallpapers to your device's gallery. |
| Set Wallpaper | To apply your chosen image as your home/lock screen wallpaper. |
| Notifications | To notify you when a wallpaper download completes. |
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's core features
- Remember your preferences (favorites, theme, language) across sessions
- Display and personalize ads (where you have consented to personalization)
- Measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services
Wallify uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy governing the data they process:
3.1 Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display banner, native, and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and app usage data to serve and measure ads, and — where you consent — to personalize ads to your interests. Learn more at Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
3.2 Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
We use Google's UMP SDK to obtain and manage your consent for personalized advertising in accordance with GDPR (EEA/UK) and other applicable regulations. You can change your consent choices at any time from Settings → Privacy Options within the App.
3.3 Wallhaven.cc
Wallpaper images and metadata are retrieved directly from the public Wallhaven.cc API. Image requests are sent from your device directly to Wallhaven's servers. No wallpaper data passes through servers we control. Refer to Wallhaven's own policies for information on how they handle these requests.
4. Advertising & Your Choices
- You can opt in or out of personalized advertising at any time via Settings → Ad Personalization or Settings → Privacy Options inside the App.
- Users in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent form on first launch (and periodically thereafter) in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law.
- You may also reset or limit ad tracking at the device level via your Android device's Settings → Google → Ads menu.
- Wallify does not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
Local preferences (favorites, theme, search history) remain on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. We do not operate our own servers that store your personal data. Data collected by third-party services (e.g., AdMob) is retained according to their own retention policies.
6. Children's Privacy
Wallify is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because Wallify does not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our own servers, most such requests should be directed to the relevant third-party service (e.g., Google, for advertising data) or can be exercised directly on your device (e.g., clearing app data, resetting your advertising ID).
8. Data Security
We rely on industry-standard practices used by our third-party providers (Google AdMob/UMP, Wallhaven) to protect data in transit, including HTTPS encryption for all network requests made by the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
Our third-party service providers, including Google, may process and store information on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
